Default Fuel pumps

Well i've still not solved the poor running issues on my 240 so thought i'd bite the bullet and try a new fuel pump to see if that sorts it.

But before i buy new has anyone got a good used fuel pump they are willing to part with? My intank one is dead and my external one is rather "whiny" so either is good for me.

Thanks

I've oreded a new inline pump from Euro Car Parts, but i'm still struggling to get hold of the intank pump, or more to the point at a sensible price.

This is the only one i've found so far, that price is near to half what i paid for my car!

So if anyone has a good used one please get in touch.

Thanks

Default in line fuel pump

Did you have any luck finding one? I'm desperate to get hold of an inline fuel pump for my 1988 240 but can't find one since Volvo stopped making them.

All the best,

Cait

Any low pressure (suitable for carbs) fuel pump will do, how about this one:

I`ve used the solid state Facet pumps before too, even on motorcycles:

More AND cheaper too:

Seems the inline fuelpump of the 7-9 series are suitable for 240s also.

Make sure you have a suitable pump - K-jet at least uses a high-pressure pump with an output pressure of 5.5 bar.

See if you can get the Bosch part no. off the original pump, chances are it's still availble somewhere, a lot of other vehicles use similar pumps.
