The lights on the front grille, are they legal to use going down the road, as in just in ordinary traffic? Or are they just for off-road purposes?
Doesn’t actually say. I assume they are legal. My mates a SGT in traffic and he’s fine with them. It’s more the HID kits in older headlights they frown on as it dazzles more than anything. Haven’t been pulled with anyway and passed loads of cops.

Thanks.

Did you fit it yourself?

I assume it’s wired to your headlights, so when your headlights are on, the extra grille ones come on too?

Was it expensive?

Local garage fitted them. Mostly plug and play with the stedi stuff. Wired into the main beam but they have a separate switch so they can be separate. It’s a custom bracket too. Everything online was too small to mount them on.

Did the lift increase your insurance premium?

Whole thing including getting the bracket made and the lights was circa £1700.

Unfortunately also the lights would most likely be classed as a mod. Imagine that a small frontal impact now causes damage to the bonnet and more than would have happened without the lights. Also replacement of the lights would not be covered. Could also cause more damage to 3rd party.

I heard of someones insurance being cancelled after an accident when he requested the car have a ceramic coating reapplied after the repair. Insurers response was straight forward insurance cancellation. Overly harsh in my opinion. I would consider that to be an uninsured element after an accident, not declared and not claimed. The driver had only just had the coating professionally applied with is c£500 to have done with paint correction included.

Love your lights and lift BTW. Looks great.

Suspension is still stock though that hasn’t been changed. It’s only a body lift really.
