I remember when I fitted +2" springs to my old Defender, they were HD and it rode and cornered much better, as opposed to folks who just fitted a lifting block under the std spring,and they were 'orrible and squirrely. I did declared the mod on my insurance,and they were fine with it,as modified Landrovers are very common, but lifting a car capable of 130mph? I am thinking of a lift on mine, but I will run it past the insurance co before I do.

Having said all that, I think your xc is one of the nicest I have seen, possibly only improved by a rear wheel carrier.

You’re probably right to run it passed insurance when you put it that way to be fair. I’ll see what they say.
