Default VOC iPhone App, can't see my heater

Ok folks, I've trawled the forum but have not found the answer I'm looking for so here goes.

My MY12 XC90 Exec registered in Nov last year has been working fine with the VOC iPhone App. Last week I had the Volvo parking heater fitted which is also working very well. However I can't get the App to recognise that it is fitted i.e. the heater controls do not appear in the App, which they should.

My local dealer haven't be enable to solve it yet, which isn't too surprising as mine is the first ever parking heater they've fitted! They've only been in Aberdeen for a decade or so!

So has anyone else come across this problem and come up with a solution?

hi, i have the same car, delivered in november 2011. Does not have the heater but as i understand it ehe heater is not supported via the app. The xc90 features are far less than the newer cars. Things like lock / unlock etc are also missing.

cheers

kenny

Parking heat control is deffinately available for the MY12 XC90 though window and door lock status isn't. The VOC user info shows it as available

Just a point excaleng, you stated the parking heater was dealer fitted, the table states that the heater requires to be a factory fittment for support. This could be your issue ? .... maybe it requires to be coded at the factory to be recognised.

Just a suggestion.

You got it in one Truckbus UK, well done.
I found out today that only in Sweden can you order a factory fitted parking heater, UK is listed as dealer fitted. It turns out that the current revision iphone application software will only "see" a factory fitted heater. My local Volvo dealer says Volvo are to issue a software update to rectify this in the near future.

It's been like pulling teeth but I've finally got what sounds like a plausible answer from Volvo.

Hmmm, curious. When I ordered my XC90 I was unaware of the VoC functionality. My parking heater is factory fitted, so I could have used that.

Cab VoC be retrofitted?

Like you I was unaware of the VOC app when I ordered my XC60. I have since tried to get a retro fit but my dealer tells me it can only be factory installed, Great shame

An overdue update on my remote parking heater control.

Since my iPhone got the iOS6 software update I can now see and control my parking heater from my phone using the Volvo app.
I can turn it on or off and set the two start timers.
Happy days.
