CVT stuck in low gear ratio?
I have a 1984 'B' Volvo 340 DL 1.4 CVT. I'm having some problems, the car seems to be stuck in the low gear ratio, the revs don't drop as you drive along. It might be the switch which doesn't seem to light up anymore? I read somewhere that there is a microswitch near the gear lever that controls the low gear hold anyone have any experience of this? Also when the engine is running and you turn it off one of rubber domes on the vacuum control compresses, this may have something to do with it...
Any help would be appriciated. |

RE: CVT stuck in low gear ratio?
Usually this fault normally means the 4way vac valve you a talking about is faulty. There could be other faults but this is the most common try replacing the valve first.
