V50 EGR problem
Hi all again,
Can you please check on my EGR and tell me why is there liquid in the cooler? It is a 2009, MW engine 136HP I have never seen coolant in there. Is there a problem with it? And if it is, can you please tell me or suggest something which way I should go and look for clues? It was full of liquid, now it went down as soon as I disconnected that tube. I just wanted to clear my EGR, but at the moment Im not even sure if I should disconnect it, because then all of the liquid will spill over the back of the engine. Thanks for your advice in advance !

I have noticed something else. As soon as i crack the cap open on the coolant reservoir the coolant start leaking from that very pipe. As soon as I close it the leaking stops.

that looks like the EGR cooler pipe which is supposed to have coolant running through it ?
Someone with a bit of technical knowledge will hopefully come along shortly and advise you on this. Iain

That's normal EGR is cooled with water.
You shouldn't lose much, just top up what you lose. Good luck, not the easiest of jobs.

But I guess I will just hang up the hose and plug it with something in the meantime. Thank you for your answer,
