I pulled up at the lights behind a Hyundai Ioniq 5 last night and was impressed by how the designers had used origami as an inspiration, beautiful sharp crease lines on all of the corners, KIA EV9 is from the same school what happened to the concept of rounded jellymoulds for efficiency? Quote:
*quick search and Citroen DispatchE available for about £40k so why is the Volvo EX90 twice as expensive? Can't help but think someone in marketing has worked out what a sucker will pay in order to set the price.

Yes, the Volvo! The sleek and legendary R32 GTR is a veritable brick in cutting through the air, with a drag coefficient of 0.40! The Volvo by comparison is relatively dolphin-like at 0.34. The Ioniq 5 has a drag coefficient of 0.288, that's really good. The latest R35 GTR is an astonishing 0.26.

A Volvo 940 is the same as the original jellymould Sierra believe it or not.

Those Cd numbers by themselves are like comparing apples, oranges and coconuts.
The reference area (front of the car) is not the same for each of the body types therefore comparing say a Cortina and Sierra is not comparing like with like. The Cd number is only applicable to the shape it has been tested on. https://www1.grc.nasa.gov/beginners-.../drag-equation You may as well compare an SUVs Euro NCAP rating directly with a city car. They may both have 5* rating but they are not the same.
