Test drove a 2004 (facelift) V70 D5 auto with 430k on it last week, drove fine TBH, drivers seat was sagged out but easy fixed with new bolster pad from volvo (about £80?).

My own 98 tdi is now on ~230k, will probably gain a few more over summer as lending it out to folk retrieving things from the continent.

You get a bronze badge at 150,000. Silver at 300,000. Gold at 500,000.

Spoilsports. I'm actually only contracted for 40k over 4 years. I'll have done a little more (probably nudging 50k) by the time it goes back. But in 2018 someone will get a very nice motor hardly run in.

Sadly no. Though I am very attached to my XC90 I think I'm a little too keen on new motors to ever get something like that. The XC90 has surprised me though...

My 1967 144s did 326000 before I scrapped it.
My current XC90 has 175000 and is unfortunately on its third gearbox. Ist wore out at 110000 & then at 15500 the gearbox oil cooler in the radiator leaked. Water doesn't work as transmission fluid. Otherwise great.

That seems to happen a lot, not just volvo products. A step too far towards reducing component count I think.
