Getting LPG fitted next week
I have a C70 convertible(2006) hardtop. Got my car booked in for LPG conversion next monday. I have owned the car two weeks now and knew it wouldn't be cheap to run but wanted a car with a bit of power when i want it. Did my monthly drive to my girlfriends (328 miles each way) at the weekend. On the journey down there it took 55 litres to fill up from empty and 50 litres to fill for return journey so id estimate about £130 round trip. I will get my conversion done and post the cost difference on LPG next time i do the trip. Looking forward to cheaper running cost in a very nice car.
A few years ago When LPG was 59p a litre i could fill up my Nissan 200sx (LPG), Get from mine to hers on one tank (50 litres) I am not sure how big a tank i can get fitted in the boot but the bigger the better i suppose. |

This is one of the C70's that I have done http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=92166 For a installation saving of £250 is it worth it? On the asumption you do stick with them would you mind posting photos? I keen to see there latest work in the hope that the others I have seen are just there off days. Cheers Dai |

Good luck with the conversion - and if I may, a few observations:
1. Completely agree with Dai about 'done-in-a-day' jobs - I just can't see how anyone could do it that quick and make a decent job of it. An untidy job will knock £000's off the re-sale value of the car, and you'll never really feel happy with it. 2. Getting the job done a long way from home is OK, but it's a long way to go back if you need any odd niggles sorting out. 3. Wouldn't be cheaper in the long run just to marry the girl and have done with it...................? Cheers Jack |
