The Pirellis won't go to waste, they either go on ebay or somewhere or I'll run them in the summer months and use the Grabbers for the other 3 seasons, take your point though, always wondered why in this day and age you can't choode from a number of tyres on ordering really....

You'll be happy with those Grabbers.
I just had to take some shopping to my Dad, so I waited until what traffic there was had pretty much disappeared. Took the drive at pretty much normal speeds (little slower round corners mind). Tested the braking on a nice straight bit, well impressed. When I got there, I had to drive through must have been 12 inch deep snow, no problem whatsoever. Feels weird driving around town at 9:30 and you see more people walking than cars !! |

Hankook
I`am i the only one using Hankook`s , anyone else using them, Paid £108 fitted inc vat a corner, have been superb, much better than the previous expensive conti`s, that went out of shape and vibrated the cabin to bits. Got them through GT Tyes (Rotherham) fitted Hankooks to many different makes and found them hassle free and hard wearing. Have preformed very well in the recent wintery weather too, to say they look more like motorway treaded tyres, very quiet on the move, highly recomended medium budget tyre. (235/60/18`s) Through a manual gearbox.

You'll have to stick with those Pirellis then, at least until the snow clears. They should be ok I guess, but not as good as the Grabbers.
You could always drive to him assuming he's taken delivery of your Grabbers. |

Curiously my local tyre guy rung about 5 mins after I found out the Grabbers weren't coming asking if I was still after new tyres (mentioned WIntracs and Grabbers to him last week), he thinks he's found some WIntracs and is phoning me Monday for a price but he reckoned under £150 a corner so at that price I'll probably go with them..... |
