  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

since about 5 years ago the services are tailored to your specific car , so if you have not done 87500 miles and it is less than 10 years old it will not need a cambelt . It is a good idea to remind them of course as some places have high staff turnover so you might have a less experienced service advisor .

It is pretty clear though 87500 miles or 10 years which ever comes first ...

Not much useful information here to be honest, it's a tale of a snapped timing 'chain' (surely a belt?) leading to a £10k bill that Volvo only agreed to cover after The Guardian covered the story... https://www.theguardian.com/money/20...l-warranty-v60

Yes, saw that. Some engines have a chain connecting the two cam shafts. Maybe that's what they meant

THe 6 cyl T6 has timing chains and the 1.6D has a chain between the camshafts but a belt to drive the one camshaft
