C30 General : - looking at a c30

hi all,

new to the forum so be gentle

i currently have a corsa vxr and im looking to change to a c30 in the next month or so. i know very roughly the different specs and engines etc. i just want some opinions on them!

what i want is a year old c30 r design 2.4 diesel in white with the nice wheels on in manual.

is that possible or is the 2.4 only available in an auto (bloke at work said it was).

whats everyones opinions on this? is the 2.4 a good reliable engine with some good tuning potential? or would i be best going for the 2.0d?

Hi, the D5 (2.4 derv) is available in a Manual yes.

As tuning wise, depends on your budget and what you want to achieve. Your best off speaking to a diesel tuning specialist though, hope this helps a tiny bit. Any other queries drop me a email.

the D5 in the C30 is not the full power version as in the bigger volvos , it is slightly detuned to 180 bhp as the large intercooler and radiator from the big cars will not fit in the C30 so ultimate 225 bhp potential of this engine by re mapping cannot be used safely ..
Once you drive one you wont see the need for any more power :-)
