B5234T3 Motronic 4.4 engine wanted
Hi,
Need an engine to my MY 98 V70 T5 2.3 turbo 240 HP. Engine code is in the title. There are several generations of engines with this code, the engine I want has a single coil, distributor and spark plug cables. I am in Portugal and I need the engine posted to here or please put the engine in a pallet to be collected by transport. My engine has gone bad at 200 000 miles, cilinder #1 has no compression at all. Probable reason is lean running on LPG (ignored by miself, oh silly me) resulting on burnt valve. please PM me here's a pic of the engine. and some other pictures just because the van (and you readers) deserves. Thank you for your atention! Last edited by fjpeixinho; Sep 15th, 2017 at 01:33. Reason: keep things glamorous! |

Why not just fix the engine you have?

Because have to open the engine. The compression on the other cylinders is not very good (between 8.5 BAR - 125 PSI and 9 PSI - 135 -BAR) and if I Open the engine I have to do work on the head (200 €) and buy new gaskets, new bolts, and new timing belt.

That's still going to be cheaper than buying another engine. Not sure what fitting would cost either but I would say fixing the valve seats is going to be by far the cheaper option.
