S60 D5 D5224T4 2nd hand Cam followers & Valve Lifters
20 x Cam Follows P/N: 8670045
20 x Valve Lifters P/N: 31251885 I have kept the lifters paired with the followers. After hearing a slight tappet noise from top end I decided to replaced on my D5224T4 185 S60 2007 with new cam follows & valve lifters as the car has covered 236,000 miles, knowing the tumble valve needed replacing as this was leaking like crazy so I thought I may as well do the lot. After inspecting looks like 2 of the follows are have a slight wear on the faces and also slight wear on the rollers. The rest seem to look ok from what I could see. If anyone is interested in these, feel free to make me an offer. I will find out how much to post to your location so this can be added on top. I no longer have the slight dreaded tappet noise so to me I feel a good job done. Before hand I did all the oil changes etc etc which made no difference at all for me. Had it in in my head that I was going to do them anyway lol. Base in Norwich more than welcome to inspect these for yourself. I will be in Telford from the 28th December till the 4th Jan if this helps anyone. |

Really?
You must be silly to sell lifters and followers, especially with that mileage. Even for free I would not take them Do you really think someone would do that job to swap for lifters with 236k miles on them? If someone needs I am giving mine away for free. PM me |

Well funny enough just before Christmas someone on here contacted me explaining he needed to replace the cam shaft seal which he knew it been leaking bad for a while.
Also he some top end noise which he wanted to check at the same time to see if anything has broken, I did say to him you do know the seal can be replaced without taking the cam shaft out, but he wanted to check the followers anyway as he was getting fed up with the noise. Also wanted to replace belts, tensioners etc and funds where creeping up & being a young man with a baby on the way. Yes I know we all have been there. So cut the long story short I offer that he came over to my place as he felt he was not confidence enough to do the timing when placing the cam shaft back and timing and not having the locking pins which I have etc. Found one of the followers in a bad way also 2 of the lifters not so good. Replaced them with the ones I had everything back together, started engine up noise no longer there. Yes we all know if you’re doing a job like this replaced the lot, was his car that what he wanted to do he knew the risk he was taking all in all worked out well for him. Will leave it up to him if he wants to update on herein his own words. 6 things have come out well from this. Tappets noise been sorted Cost was kept down One man's trash is another man's treasure £10.00 he put toward a local children charity A very happy man Some of my old parts not ending up at the local scrap yard which is 10 miles away |
