Default XC70 D5 Shark tuning remap

Thinking very seriously about buying a 53 plate XC70 D5. One owner, fsh, 125k from new. If I buy it, I’ll be getting rid of my Stage 3+ Saab 9-5 Aero estate - 305 bhp and 420Nm. The Volvo felt pretty reasonable on the test drive, but I wondered if anyone had experience with the Shark Performance remap - looks like a decent increase in power and torque, just wondering what the impact might be on fuel economy.

have had this Map on the 163 bhp and 2 185 bhp . one of which is on the xc 70 that i have
make sure the car is as A1 as you can get it as the Maps will find a weak spot .
you can ask them to map it as you want it . it takes about 6 hrs to complete and there is a Rolling Road .
having had the 3 Maps from them i have not had any issues with the Maps on the Cars .
Mine Xc 70 is for Sale in the sales section

To be honest i did not notice or take any interest in fuel usage as the Maps where put on for extra power for towing a twin axle Caravan . Solo i drove it very spirited and a nice smile so that negated any fuel economy .
If you get the 163 you can have the Egr mapped out at Shark for a extra cost i think.

Oh yes, I completely agree with this.....

My map quickly finished off the intercooler on mine.

Apart from that an a slight dump valve type noise under heavy acceleration the map has been fine for 17k or so.
