Rear door locking issue
Hi guys, new here and hoping for some help please.
Have just purchased a 2004 Volvo XC90 and my rear doors (both sides) do not lock or unlock either with the key or the button inside the car. My boot also does not lock/unlock. I can open the doors from the inside and out, but unable to trigger any locking. The front doors work perfectly. If anyone has any guidence on where to start it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Gary |

Fixed it. On computer had high and low input on lock/unlock, checked wiring and found 2 broken wires either door.
Boot has turned out to be faulty mechanism. All sorted! |

Despite computer modules, VIDA etc. there are still old-school broken wires...

So little update - we have issues!
The rear doors are intermitten. They will always lock/unlock in the fact the lock pin you can see move up and down, HOWEVER, the door will not always open inside and out. IF you keep locking and unlocking it will eventually open. Now I bought a new mechanism and same thing, it is as if the deadlock sometimes stick or an electrical signal isnt getting to the door completely. Anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks Gary |
