Default XC90 R Design suspension

Looking for technical help.
I have a 2009 R Design 4.4 L V8 in Dubai, bought new here.
I bought new dampers (struts) from GSF in the UK based on the VIN number but the rears are wrong, and GSF can't find the part numbers from the VIN....

Can anybody offer any part finding / suspension advice?

Thanks.

ps the old rear dampers are shorter and fatter than the incorrect ones that I bought in error.

If you change from the Nivo's then you also need to change the springs, std shocks wont fit without ..... its cheaper to by the Nivo's from Volvo as an upgrade kit rather than 2 x shocks ..... speak to your dealer, or try FRF in Swansea ... they will ship overseas.

Hope it helps

Dear Dan, Maybe this Volvo is just a bit too sophisticated for you, have you considered a Pontiac Aztec instead? Apparently they're very good if you tend to hit kerbs and other obstacles often. Somehow I think you'd look good in one.x

Default indeed

you are probably right, it has done 240,000 kms in the dust and speed bumps and rough roads of Dubai, with several female drivers, but yeah, maybe I am just a rubbish driver and too stupid to own it. Good point.

Thanks for the sound advice, really appreciated, by the way since we're handing out advice here, did you notice that everybody else is giving helpful honest advice, rather than moronic commentary, perhaps you should consider posting om CBBC or help Noddy with his little red car problems, just a bit of friendly advice.

Default Don't be cross

With my slightly asthmatic 163bhp you can't blame me for being a little jealous of your throbbing lump. I'll buy you an apology beer one day soon hopefully. T
