im just curious as to why he seems to be insisting ashok collects the parts himself. collecting parts is not rocket science and can be done by a third party. i highly doubt any threats will be made, but if there were any complications or accusations made it can be witnessed by enough honest members to cancel out any false claims made in the future(there appears to be quite a few already). not at all suggesting ashok's reports would be questioned, the very little i know him, i already highly trust him, im just saying it would be nice to add some extra support. if you do have to go ashok, no promisses, but ill try my best to meet up if you should want the extra support

You've hit the nail on the head with that one.

They do indeed post lies up on the internet about such things.

I was accused of complaining about a job which they did for me and turned ito a terrible bodge. I supposedly asked for it to be "temporaily bodged till I can get it fixed" it was apparently "done for free"
This again was posted by proxy, except Al had the decency to say it was from Stuart.

However, I was fortunate enough to have S60Ben with me at the time, and he was witness to what I asked for, and what I paid.

Had I been alone, it would have been SW's word (which is OK with some people) against mine.

I would Highly recommend taking another respected person from this forum should Ashok go down there.

These guys have form for trying to tarnish the reputation of unhappy customers.

This was a nice try... Which again turned out to be totally fabricated.

As was this attempt to blame a customers car for an unsatisfactory outcome.

Tez refused to rise to the bait, but told me at the lincs meet that most of what was said by "you know who" was untrue.

And my case...

You'd be wise to be cautious.

I have been reading this thread with some interest since my post on T5D5 and I would like the chance to clear a few things up. So here goes:

1.Bobcat stated that he arrived at 11am to give Stuart time to check the car over - but when he did arrive, my car was still parked outside even though I arrived at 9 am as requested. Only when bobcat arrived did they look at the ecu ,put it back in, and only then did the car go into the garage for a pre-check.

2 Bobcat stated that there were numerous faults with my car. The rotar arm and distributor cap were a replacement that was discussed with Stuart prior to arriving in Kent (fair enough). The top engine mount bush was found to be faulty during the pre-check and replaced ( fair enough - was not picked up by the garage that had had the car prior to SW). Coolant and oil leak was picked up by Stuart ( again a fault from the garage prior to SW which Stuart agreed to tighten).

3.Bobcat stated that I was advised the clutch was slipping. I was advised that the pedal was low, but no mention of a slipping clutch. This concerned me as I had just driven 225 miles down there with no indication of a problem at all. With this in mind my car then went onto the rolling road for several runs under load then driven the 225 miles back. I then ran my car for 7 months with no other evidence of a problem clutch. The clutch did not even slip when I negotiated flood water in July in Tewksebury. Still, I replaced the clutch as SW had advised - to be then told that there was plenty of 'life' left in the old clutch and it was an unecessary expense.

4. When Stuart/ Bobcat had finished working on my car ( which took until 5.30pm- god knows what they were doing in that time) I was told it would have to go back to be fitted with a recirculating dump valve and a different actuator, and to check the map. Okay, so that would entail another 450 mile round trip and more expense - but I wanted my car running safely. Despite numerous phone calls over a two month period, I was repeatedly fobbed off with the excuse that the rolling road was broken - even though I could clearly hear cars running on the rollers in the background.

5. I was left with no other choice but to book my car in at another garage to have my car finished. They instantly realised there was a problem with the map done at SW and that the fuelling was so weak at high boost he was suprised it hadn't died during the time since I had visited SW. I am now facing more expense of having to pay for another custom re-map to sort out the problems SW Autos should have sorted in the first place.

In summary, I am astounded that a so-called Volvo specialist tuner would have to lie about the days events. I am appalled at the map done on my vehicle and quite frankly their customer service stinks. I would not recommend them to fix my sons bicycle!

I hope this has cleared a few things up.

I think the link 854Owner is referring to is this one

T5D5 Link to 854 Owners Post - Click HERE

There you go... and in Bobcats own words

Hi Terry,

Im guessing i was the "computer guy" you refer to.

From what i can remember I arrived around 11 to give your car ample time to be inspected. However it wasnt in a fit state to be mapped as it had a number of faults (so i had to wait around untill it was ready):
So there you go, how his status was ever in any doubt I've no idea.
