UKPC parking fine- To pay or not to pay?
Well over 4 months ago I got a parking fine in Mcdonalds free parking due to my 940 wheels over marked bay, I know I will get people saying I'm not a good chap, but had my disabled mum and two wee ones with me and did park in a mostly empty car park.
Anyhew got a ticket from warden, saw him approaching the car, did state my case but he wasn't having it and took pics as he walk to the motor. My mistake was I appealed, so in a sence accepted it was me driving and the letters keep coming, When I got another letter I called and they said no email was received thats when I smelt a rat, so far I have had 6 letters from UKPC and 4 from debt recovery and one from collections today...Am I worried...No! They seem to threat but they have carefully worded letters. The way they operate is they give some monies to shopping centres/shops for working on their patch. They request you to pay...unlike local authority or police which you have to pay. They get your details via request from DVLA, and write to you with correct name address so you think its legit. Have a look at this thread it gives advice that I took: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...d.php?t=552563 They sent me a letter today stating to pay £80 within fourteen day other wise will have to pay full amount at £60!!! Also might be a good idea to speak to shops HR and tell them I will refuse to shop their until they get rid of UKPC and the like. I know they are super markets that give you two hour parking and use similar companys to enforce it. |

I wouldn't do that as fun as it may be you could be prosecuted for sending hazardous items through postal service. It's an offence now ( shame!! As some people really deserve it!!!)

Stick it in the bin!
I would write to the DVLA and ask why they handed out such details when it's not a criminal matter, but a civil matter. I'd certainly kick up a fuss with them. Scott

Should have completely ignored it, dont have any contact with them whatsoever.
As for contact with DVLA, forget it, they are entitled to sell your details unfortunately. |
