Default Advice on XC60

I’d like to return to Volvo and get an XC60 either 2.4D or D5.
I have had S60s in 2.4D and D5 and love the D5244 engine for its torque.
I’d like to go for the D5 AWD for its horses and torque but would I miss much going for the DRIVe variant even though it’s only 163 bhp?
It sounds piccy but I also need electric and heated seats and mirrors. AWD is not essential. HID lights are good also
Advice appreciated
John

Try asking here https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=187

What’s the usage any off road, towing? What sort of age/budget? Look for a car with winter pack for heated seats and here are several trim versions from S SE SE lux, Rdesign and R design lux in later versions maybe some more in earlier versions the lux with winter pack will probably have all you need. Auto or Manual? I would suggest auto especially the later auto mated a D4/5 5 cylinder engine. The 2.0 4 pot VEA with 8speed is good but has some niggles.

Polestar upgrade gives plenty of extra power and torque so consider this if you can’t find a D5

Your right I don’t need AWD as I don’t expect to go off-road but on past experience the D5 has the best engine variant especially for torque.
Another post refers to post 2015 engines. Is that the D5244T22 or D5244T20? What effect does twin turbos have?
Budget wise I could go up to 18k

I’m not sure on the engine numbers but the 5 cyl 2.4 in either D4 or D5 moniker should be easy to find for that budget. Auto with AWD probably the most available

2015 was when the VEA 2.0 was introduced I think (I have one in a FWD xc60 manual)
