Default Which engine is this?

Here is a picture of the engine of the 360GLT I am picking up next week. Can anyone enlighten me to which one it is,e.g. B200E, or F.

B200F only seems to have existed in europe, the UK got to put up with the joys of open loop injection

I'm not sure of external differences tbh, although I think all 200F's had pulsair fitted, not seen it on 200E's apart from one with A/C.

Well, certainly not much room for a spare wheel in there...................

Looks like good fun though

AFAIK, the UK only got B200E's. From '86 Europe also got B200EA's (Pulsair and EGR exhaust recirculation) and B200F's (3-way cat and lambda sensor). If you you've got a B200F (that'd be unusual), you should have a lambda sond (oxygen sensor) screwed into the downpipe.

That's right, we only got B200Es, not Fs.

Official power ratings differed depending on year and spec. If I remember correctly, the highest figures were for B19E cars (-84 models?), at about 118bhp. High compression B200E models (85-86?) were about 115, while late low-compression B200E models (87-?) were 111bhp, I believe. B200K models differed too - 105 and 101 rings a bell, for high and low compression, respectively. The B19A (predecessor to the B200K) was something like 95bhp, from memory...mainly thanks to a weedy camshaft profile blunting high RPM power - the carb is bigger, and I bet those cars *felt* more powerful!

cheers
