I received my 2015 free Volvo map update a couple of weeks back. It installed with no problems. After reading these forums i decided to give it a go at making a backup. I copied the 2 DVD's to my PC in ISO format using ImgBurn. I bought a pack of cheap D/L discs from my local PC specialists (25 printable discs for £11), AonePlus DVD +R 8X. I then used ImgBurn to burn disc 1 (the one needed to be left in car DVD drive). I have tried it in the car and so far it seems to be successful. I shut down sat nav, removed original disc, placed the backup in, turned nav back on and all seems well, put in new postcode location and it worked ok. I still have to test it under driving conditions but looks promising.
I have a 2014 XC90.

PS...I used default settings in ImgBurn, i set it to 2.4x write speed but it said slowest burn my writer could do was 4x so was burnt at that.

Link to burn your own disks has already been posted. Just use AnyBurn(http://www.anyburn.com) to burn them to double layer disks(http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/tdk-8x-spe...-25-pack-a52kf) ...

Burned the DVD's and it appears to work brilliantly - just as the 2010 and 2013 versions.

I used my laptop to burn my disks and the link you require was posted by Laban and is quoted in my reply but here it is again.

For the XC90 I'm pretty sure North America maps were released in 2006 so are not available for pre 2006 models.

You can confirm this by using the Volvo Maps website, pre 2006 is not selectable for North America maps ...

North America - http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INT.../Default-Start

And European maps ended in 2013 so anywhere with 2014 onwards are fake.

The latest Volvo maps can be downloaded directly.
