V50 D5 Manual Gearbox
Hi have a new V50 D5 with manual gearbox. V.pleased with the car but one slighty niggle is change from 1st to 2nd gear very notchy, almost (sometimes) as if the gears are not syncronising properly.
I recall reading that the volvo (ford sourced) manual gearboxes are meant to be very slick shifting. At first, I put it down to the newness of the car, but now with 2k miles, no sign of improvement. Anyone come across similar issues, is it a problem I should be seeing the dealer with? Many thanks |

Hi there, as far as I am aware the gearboxes are still Volvo made at their plant in Sweden. It may just be the connecting cables from the lever to the box need some adjustment so pop down to your dealer and see what he thinks. Ask to speak to the Master Tech!!

1st and 2nd are 'notchy' in my 1.8 petrol manual, is there an adjustment for this too?
