Interior fabric cleaning
Hello and thank you for reading this message.
Can seats' fabric / upholstery be steam cleaned? My Volvo V50 is from 2006 and a deep clean of the inside seat upholstery would be great if possible. Thank you for reading. |

Yes it can and is usually works very well... I use a Polti vaporetto steam cleaner but I follow up immediately with a good vacuuming (from a wet capable vacuum of course). On really heavy stains I let a weak soap mix or upholstry cleaner soak in first.
It takes a long time to to a full car including carpets but the results can be "as-new". My favorite quick tactic is to take the seats out and power wash them.... but you need to be able to leave them somewhere warm for a few days to dry out.
