Default Excessive smoke from exhaust burning oil!

Hi all hope some one can point me in the right direction. I have purchased a 55 plate 1.8 petrol v50. It had a misfire due to a burnt exhaust valve I have replaced all 16 valves and valve stem seals. Misfire rectified but it smoking worse now than it was before I removed the head to repair the valves. I suspect it's the oil control rings that are at fault could I be right or am I over looking something obvious. Pcv valve seems ok. To add all spark plugs are fouling and all pistons tops are wet. Many thanks Andy
