Default XC60 to collect this Friday Yay

At last the call has been made to say our XC60 can be collected from Milton Keynes this Friday

Going armed with a camera and a wife that can see my DIY blemishes at 60 paces

After a nice steady drive up through Derbyshire in the afternoon, I will post some pictures of the event

No problem getting 50mpg on the M1 at that time.
Enjoy and take it easy, your wait is finally over.

Find a trucker in the Middle lane, pull along side and keep rolling!
Maybe we should start a Convoy..

I would poodle up the A5, then the A444 to Burton upon Trent and then to wherever you need to go in Derbyshire. A route I used to do everyday and far more peaceful than the M1.

Enjoy the car but enjoy the drive as well

Too right I won't be going anywhere near the M1

Yep Burton is on my planned route followed by Buxton and then pick my usual route up to Holmfirth. Stunning route across the tops

That should give it a nice varied chance to run-in. I want to get some miles on the clock before a little 1000 mile trip to Scotland next month

Bit delayed due to Man Flu over the weekend

First impressions, what a car !

For a base spec car I am well impressed with the standard of fittings. The official spec does not give a full list of what is included

That 5 pot burble is glorious, can't wait to get it run in so I can give it some beans. Conversely once it gets into it's stride it's so quiet I keep thinking the lurgy is affecting my hearing, but no it is so quiet

We took it for a run at lunch time to our local budget camping store and loaded up with a new tent ready for our foray into Europe in the summer. We have no definite plans yet, but with a cruiser like this who knows where we will end up

Good call on your choice of car parking space in the supermarket car park! A single bay, well away from everyone else - best to get your registration plate painted onto the bay

Arianne

PS. Good looking car, nice colour - doesn't look like an entry level spec in that colour so smart choice.
