  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Interesting, thanks for the pointer. As you say, I can't be the first person to want to change the seats in a 940, someone has done it before.

The airbag in the seat, if fitted, is mechanically actuated and doesn’t have an electrical connection to the SRS controller. The seatbelt tensioners are, however, electrically operated.

There’s a lot of wiring for the SRS under one of the seats so if fitting a different seat you’d need to be careful not to damage any of it.
Interesting post, thanks. I only saw a connection for the heated seat and one for the seatbelt connection on my car.

I think it's time to go to a breakers yard and measure a few different seats.
