Default Dodgy passenger door 940 GLE

The passenger side door does not close completely and subsequently rattles when going over rough road. It locks and unlocks OK and there's no significant wind noise - it's just a nuisance. I've looked in the Haynes manual and there's does not appear to be any means of adjustment or realignment. Any ideas anyone? Thanks - Dave Harper, London

Hi,
First with the door open check that the door portion of the lock works by sticking a screwdriver in the slot and seeing if it clicks to the first position and then the second fully shut position. If it does then your catcher plate on the pillar has moved. Its usually secured by either an allen key or star drive bolts. Its a case of trial and error to get the door to close fully by adjusting/closing/adjusting/closing until the door shuts to the second click. Cheers Nige
