Default Auto gearbox oil cooler pipes leaking V60 D3 2011

Hi all,

I've got a 2011 V60 d3 auto.

About four years ago after I got eml popped up on the dash, after it was plugged in it came back with egr problem.

Anyway after checking the egr was working properly and cleaned I posted on here and was informed to change the map sensor fitted on the intercooler pipe.

Bought one from ebay bingo eml stayed off until a week ago plugged in same fault so ordered one off ebay.

But when I came to take the old one off it was covered in dirt and oil even inside the connector, right above is the oil cooler and at the pipe ends that look like they clip on both a weeping has anyone got experience with this and can you but the seals or is it new pipes

Thanks in advance
Gav

Are you sure those oily stains are not oily fumes from a leaking intercooler blowing back?

It's just only the plastic pipes have oily residue on them

Which brought me to the conclusion it must be them

When I removed the map sensor it was quite clean the actual sensor it was the outside that was coked in oil and dirt

Here is the sensor as you can see the inside has very light surface dust but clean I'd say but the outside pins have been contaminated with some kind of oily liquid

The green suff is coolant but those multi plugs are supposed to be waterproof ... those black plastic pipes carry coolant so the oil is something else , maybe a leaking intercooler ..

Yeah that's what I thought, that they were supposed to be waterproof..

So do you know if you can replace the seals in the plastic hoses?

Cheers for the reply

The only seal is an O ring just inside , I've never seen one leak before . Its not usual to replace seals in quick release couplings ..

And by the looks of it both are leaking.. Would you have any idea where I could get hold of some? I would imagine volvo would just sell the pipes complete

Cheers

you would be better off getting the pipes complete as you don't want to put unsuitable quality O rings in them .
