I have a cheap reader off Ebay, and the Car Scanner app (just the free one). It communicates and displays most data, but doesn't appear to show Battery SOC. The title is there it just doesn't display the information.
As I have a low battery warning, I'd obviously like to be able to see this.

Is it my reader ?
Is it the app?
Is it me?
Any suggestions, welcome:

I think the SOC is diplayed only in cars equipped with BMS sensor (black wire connected to negative battery terminal). Probably only the the voltage is monitored in older cars.

It's a 2011 V60. So not sure if that's considered an older car, I might have to look under the bonnet.

My 2011 V70 is a November vehicles so late in the year. It does have battery SoC available, so must be around that time period.
