Another Map Update.

Just noticed that an update is available:

Published: 23/04/2020

Do not think that I will bother updating until the lockdown is lifted, by then there will probably be a further update.
I went into lockdown mode on the 15th March and I cannot see me coming out of it, anytime soon.

I'm just updating with this one, although I only updated 3-4 weeks ago the last version had a good few roads near where I live as 20mph. Lets see what surprises this version brings

I’m bew to Volvo having only collected my S90 in February. So not done a huge amount of miles.

Using car semi-regularly in lockdown so wondering about doing my first map update.

If I do it over 4G and signal is lost does that screw things up?

My car is showing North West Europe v1283 as available.

It won’t screw up.

It just resumes when you have a signal again.

Don’t bother waiting for it to finish, unless you have nothing else to do.

I have my maps set to update automatically and I may stop and start the car a couple of times, while it’s updating and before it finishes.

When updating individual country maps there is no indication of progress.

If you update the whole of Europe map it displays progress as percentage complete but you cannot use satnav whilst it's updating.

Interestingly it takes roughly the same amount of time to update the whole of Europe as it does to update individual countries.

I am in the process of installing the last map update over the air which is North West Europe and it is showing 25% progress, it has been auto installing since it came out weeks ago but as car is hardly getting used it keeps getting interrupted and paused.
