Default XC90 HDMI (and 2x composite) Video and Audio Interface

Hi all,

While browsing eBay I came across this for the XC90 (manufacturer link):
https://naviks.com/i-24075805-2003-2...interface.html

It has 3 inputs:
-HDMI (cycled via button - can be disabled if not in use)
-AV1 composite (cycled via button - can be disabled if not in use)
-Reverse composite (controllable via +12V high signal)

I think I'm going to give it a shot configured as so:

-HDMI: AirPlay / phone interface
-AV1: Raspberry Pi CAN monitor or extra camera
-Reverse: Front facing in-logo camera wired to +12v switch

I can maintain my OEM rear camera with turning lines + navigation yet add some new functionality (fun project for an EE).

I'm curious how the HDMI scaling will work with our older RTI screen...
Audio from the HDMI is broken out to L and R and can be fed into the AUX jack.

Anyone else using phone mirroring on their OEM RTI screen?

Good find
If it's plug and play I'd be keen on trying one out too. I don't want to cut my wiring looms.

It's unclear from the pictures if it connects to the display or the nav, there's no instructions that I can find....

I emailed them for the instructions - it plugs into the back of the VNS DVD/HDD unit.

I too like the plug and play.

OK, under the left-hand front seat. Easy access then

And a great spot to tap into the RSE video signal to bring it to the front display for watching movies....
