Clean original C70 for sale....maybe...
Good evening all.
I have a beautiful C70 2.0 T Auto with 75k. One of the last made in this shape....Nov 2005..on a 55 plate. I now have a company car. So was hoping (and still am) to keep both. But already this romantic idea of keeping both is showing signs of failing.....the C70 is blocking the drive, and she is not being used ? My efforts to find a garage to rent so far haven't come to anything....so.., If anyone is looking for a really genuine., cherished and main dealer maintained vehicle, with low mileage. ..I may be tempted to sell. I will say, this car wiĺl not be for sale for cheap ..and I don't want to cause any arguments on here....like we had not so long back....but If I decide to sell....I will be looking for a very good price. Very full history including original sales docs. And receipts. It has fully refurbished 7.5 Comets..totally unmarked and painted on rears with paint and lacquer at extra cost. Loads of extras including. Genuine strut brace..wind deflector..full walnut interior including Steering wheel and gear selector. Multi changer in boot. So, in summary..it's not a sale as a run around....if anyone wants a truly original C70 Conv to keep.....then please pm me? Cheers Dave

C70 Conv sale
Well it may be ?
Like other posters I was just putting the idea out there to see what interest I might get ? There's no doubt this is an unusual car due to the fact of its condition, history and the way it has been looked after and spared the usual wear and tear. If anyone really wants an example like this, because they are specifically looking for one, like I did nearly three years ago, then this is the car for them. If someone is just looking for a cheap C70 Conv, then this won't be the one! As ITSV40 said...there are plenty of cheap ones out there. Usually with a list of jobs that need doing! This car needs absolutely nothing...it's all up to scratch ! So anyone asking whats the lowest you'd take or even what do you want for it, I don't think this will be the car for you ? A bit like the other poster who has a nice genuine C70 coupe on here for sale....I was just seeing if anyone was looking for a really genuine good example ? I didn't expect to agree a sale on here and like him, I don't really want negative comments or cause an argument over valuation ! I'll maybe consider advertising where he posted his. Best wishes Dave

Someone who asked just that question earlier thread got the forum equivalent of an earful, so I expect much the same. Alternatively you could take it as feedback and when you are ready, adopt the 'look I know £x might seem very expensive, but come along and see for yourself why I think it's good value' approach. |

It might be helpful and avoid speculation if you at least gave an indication of what you consider to be ia 'good price' (sic) for your car, 'pepper16'. This time last year, I was looking for a nice C70 auto but couldn't find one. I ended up paying the thick end of £3K for what I believe is a nice '06' Saab 9 - 3 convertible. So I do not think it is neccessarily 'the wrong time of the year', nor that people are not prepared to pay good money for the right car.
Had your car been available at that time and was as good as you say, I may well have been prepared to offer a similar ammout for it. In that event, it would have been good to know if you would have been pleased or offended by my offer. Regards. John.
