Default weird clip

Hello people,
My auto 740 GLE ( 1989 ) has a black clip thing? near where the bonnet lever opener is, inside the car, this clip thing opens, with a click noise, I've searched in the Hyanes manual, have no idea what it's function is, any ideas ?
Cheers

My 90 760 doesn't have any kind of black clip things near the bonnet release catch. Can you get a picture up of it?

I think you are right.
Thinking back to my 740 it too had a lever that was not too far away from the bonnet release catch.
Mine, if I remember was no longer working and just moved back and forth very easily...

Well done that man...

I take it you have looked to see the lever and grill -like square?
On both sides?

Does it look like you have had a replacement panel down there??

Default springs

My vents are missing the springs.
First time I noticed them I was towing the Carrot van on the M5 and nearlt SH@ myself! Thought something was wrong with car/van.
In the summer I wedge them open.

has ne 1 had any luck in finding replacement fittings to stop them flapping.

Default Cold air flap

I ahve one on the passenger (left) side. On the right I don't and there is a big bulge in the plastic trim panel that apears to house some electronic gadgetry...
