T8 Scheduled charging

I know it has been discussed a little before, just would like others clarification:-

I just wondered how many people use the scheduled VOC App charging to set a time for car to charge on a daily basis, but then turns it off/saves to charge T8 instantly, and then turns saved schedule back on/saves again for it to charge as per timer?

I find it so intermittent, sometimes it works other times it just charges the car instantly when the Schedule is set and saved.

Is it me? or others find it unreliable?

or am I the only person that charges the car every time after I have used it?

My T8 is MY 2018 and I have VOC app (android) v4.2.11. I've never found a charging timer on there! Can you tell me where it is, please?

I time-charge using a 'smart' charging box which I set-up either to trigger charging during the day when my solar panels reach sufficient output (>6A), or at night when my tariff gives me 5p/kWh.

You have to save a charging location first in the app before it lets you schedule a charge

on iPhone VOC app.

Home page/Fuel range/Saved Locations/ make one for where charging happens.
Then set times, and set boxes:-

When you plug lead in if it goes BLUE you know you are on paused Schedule charging.

Just remember if you want to charge any other time you need to go into app and untick schedule charging and vice versa. ( a little annoying)

I am now wondering, if the issues are because the VOC app does not think you are at the saved location, IE poor GPS connection etc. if it uses a GPS to determine where car is at anyone time with the VOC APP.

I really do think the schedule charging should be set or set as well as APP from inside the car, or at least have a button for instant charge now, so you never need to change the app settings or rely on them.

yes, set home up as a charging location and it does work.

you also get a nudge on your phone if your at home but have forgotten to plug it in even if your not using scheduled charge one a location is set.

Many Thanks to both for the replies - I'd never set up my home location as a charging point yet I don't charge anywhere else....duh!

Well I've done 2 x scheduled charges at home since setting it up on the VOC app and it works fine for me, so far.
