Glad that you appear to have found the cause of the oil leak. However, I'd be tempted to return it to Lucas and ask him to re seal the outter casing. If oil can leak out, it's 100% sure that rainwater + salt can leak in, and cause all sorts of electrical issues in the future. Alternatively, buy a high quality exterior silicon sealant and do the job yourself
You'll have a good idea of where the leak was coming from???

Was there much/any oil contamination on the opposite side of the DEM - where the valves are actually housed??

There wasn't much oil around the sandwich plate ,it was mainly in the Dem unit itself.Dems been emptied and cleaned and more as a temp measure ive re sealed the leaking section until it goes to Lucas when I can do without the car again.

Hey there i have just come across your post for the issue you had with your R!

I have EXACTLY the same issue 30 mins AWD then fails

Changed everything possible same issue

could you by chance tell me if the fix worked long term?

And by chance could you send me Lucas's contact info

I tried reaching out through the site but dont get a response

If possible id love to be able to talk with you to get more info as im thousands of $'s into fixing this issue

if you dont mind sending me your contact info
