Thanks George But i dont even know where the gearbox is, and the Haynes for the most part, is useless.

Hi,

Actually, the cat is almost directly underneatht the drivers bum..

As for 1st gear, it will be adjustment of the selector. Not difficult if you know what to do, and someone here will undoubtedly know.
Do make sure to not incorrectly adjust the reverse gear restrictor as some smart d!ck for me. Going from 2nd to reverse is "not a good thing"...!

I would also as recommended flush/change the gearbox oil.

turbos are great cars and they are always challenging to try to get that extra bit of power out of....take it from me...once you start you cannot stop....lol....oh and watch that back end......the fun begins......
