Angry Help with unidentified fault

Hi

This is my first post so I hope I am in the right section and someone can help.

I am in urgent need of help from people with volvo experience as I have a problem that seems to stump anyone who looks at it.

So the issue is:

Cruising down the motorway when the engine suddenly pulled back like it was running low on fuel or not getting fuel as the tank was 3/4 full. I continued to service area let the engine cool and then tried again, same issue occurred and continued. Anytime i tried to get over 2000rpm the engine would buck and have no power.

I made it home in limp mode and have had it in the local garage and had the following said and done:

Firstly the car was linked up to the laptop and no fault codes were recovered at all, including the fuel sensor having normal pressure.......

So mechanic said it must be the EGR valve so this was replaced and no change.

More head scratching and then it must be the DPF or or maff sensor. Both changed and no results

Finally the only result showing on live data on the laptop whilst driving was a drop in booster pressure and a fault code for the accelerator pedal. Pedal sensor replaced and no better at all. The turbo valve was also checked and no problem there.

So the mechanic has said he does'nt know what it is and wont work on the vehicle anymore.....

That said he did say in parting that the connection between the ECU and accelerator could be the issue???

I have contacted my local volvo dealer and have the car booked in but they cant even take it for 3 weeks.

Has anyone had a problem like this before and found a solution.

Thanks

A guy i know had a V50 D with the same sort of power problem it turned out to be the fuel pick up inside the fuel tank , had the pump removed and pick up cleaned then the tank cleaned out been fine since.
best of all no parts to buy .

Did you get a EML light when this issue happened? I would assume you did and find it strange no codes were found when scanned.

Was Volvo VIDA/DICE used to scan for codes?
