cheers Mister T,
I think I'll have another go at fixing it after Christmas.
I'd like to keep driving it.

A year after this car broke down I eventually got it running again and used it very happily for three months before selling it and moving back to the UK.
I now have a V70, which has a faulty engine and won't run

I will put a page together with some info and photos for others who want to tackle the PRV V6; in the end I searched far and wide for the info I needed, so if I can share my knowledge with someone else that would be nice.

My car had a broken timing chain and a blocked fuel regulator. I fixed those and then stripped the head down cleaned it and replaced the bent valves.

The car ran great when I'd done.

Thanks to all who helped me and encouraged me.

Stinky,
Well the next time we are home I reckon I should buy you a couple of pints , as I said before that engine scares most mechanics , now you are in the UK at least you can find a parts supplier at a reasonable price.
So now whats your next engine problem , no start, blown up ?, lets give it a shot .
