Does anyone have any experience of tempered glass protectors?

There are a few on Amazon but have zero reviews. For me it's not just about reducing the finger prints, I actually want additional protection (yes I know it's not a phone, and that I'm unlikely to drop it!). As I also have the rear climate ordered I'd like to add a protector to that as well (kids).

Also, from experience of using tempered glass on phones for years the actual installation finish is far superior to film.

I might just bite the bullet and order them, but at £35 for the pair it's considerably more than what's been quoted so far.

Not 100% sure if a tempered glass protector will work on a Sensus screen?

The Sensus screen has been designed to be operable with thick winter gloves worn, there is a infrared beam and there is no need to actually touch the screen.

I think that you need to check and double check that tempered glass is actually suitable, you could end up voiding any warranty, if things go wrong.

The Brotect Screen Protector has now been used by numerous Volvo owners, with no negative feedback.
Why go down a route, that has not been tried and tested?

My thoughts.

Tem is right- sensus uses resistive screen (pressure sensitive) in combo with ir sensors - so yeah, in theory- it should work with hardened glass protector (ir sensitivity may be reduced but resistive component should cover for that..) but it may be slightly less sensitive/responsive..

I do think however that physical protection (tempered glass..) is a bit of an overkill

I don't disagree, I'd like it more for the ease of application (and result compared to film) and as I said, the rear screen for the 4-zone climate could do with a bit of protection in my mind.
