I was at the dealer today for some other work to be done and I have been told by the technician about the outstanding recall and what is involved in the job.

It actually sounds exactly like the earlier rectification work on the EGR cooler.

In terms of values I was looking around this week and max PX price for mine was £5.5k.

Was told the guide value is around £5.1k.

Unless yours has done intergalactic mileage that seems very disappointing!

It has covered 80,700 miles.
At the moment it seems PX values are very low, but forecourt prices high.

I saw a 2015 Auris hybrid with 50k on the clock for £11k

I know they are economical, but imagine paying £5.5k to change to the same age of car, which is smaller and has no benefit with regards to road tax etc....

This is the latest information available from today.
That is not the recall that's a policy which has been running for about 3 years now and only applies if you have one particular Fault code regarding EGR cooler flow low ...

Well this is what the technician told me and when I check with my VIN there are 2 outstanding recalls according to the Volvo website. The engine is D5 VEA and the car is registered in January 2017.

Sorry forgot to mention. It is S90 D5 PP. I know I should write in the specific forum, but because here this topic is most discussed, that is why I am writing my story here.
