Default Slow puncture repeat...

I've got the S40. Just 2 months ago I had a slow puncture in the nearside rear tyre. I had the tyre changed. Everything was fine but today I've discovered the same tyre is punctured again. It's very slow, just 3lb of pressure lost in 24 hours. I've inspected the tyre carefully but can't find any thing wrong with it.
Can anyone suggest what might be causing this...
Thanks in anticipation,
Jill

Has the bead of the tyre been seated properly?

I would pay a visit to where you had it done and ask them to re seat it, see if that helps!

I've had slow punctures in the alloys on my V50 sport. Turns out all of the problems were due to corrosion on the inside of the rim. I've had each wheel refurbished in turn which has fixed the problem.

Thanks Brickman for the info...I'm going to see if kwik fit can reseat the tyre.

Thanks also to Deltham for pointing out what might be the cause. Who would I go to for the wheel to be cleaned up...sounds like a specialist job so I don't think Kwikfit would do it and we only have them or ATS locally. Any suggestions appreciated.

Cam, don't feel too bad as you've pointed out another valid reason for the leak. I'll get them to fit a new valve...

All 4 of mine act like a slow puncture. I've never had a car where I have to top up the air so much!

Had all four wheels cleaned up and resealed but they still go down slowly. It has helped but it's not perfect.
