Default Windscreen replacement

Hi I have a volvo 240 glt saloon where the windscreen trim has opened up a little bit allowing water to get in. I've had a windscreen fitting company advise that they can get the clips and the screen but not the black chrome trim.

What have you guys done in the past, because I can't seem to get hold of that trim. Can the old one be reused if it's just cosmetic or is there another solution?

Thanks

Quite a common problem I believe- you may get hold of a used item (ebay at times) but then they are all getting on a bit now- the later screens have all rubber seals and can be used- I much prefer the black with chrome insert. . You should be able to reuse the existing if it is not too distorted. The above screen sealer works well and if used properly then it may provide an answer.
