S40: - help

hi guys im having a problem with my car ,the engine lights has come on.i read the book and it ses there is something wrong with the fuel system or the exhaust does not reach eu standards,i have recently had the exhaust changed and the light went off,but driving home today and the engine light came back on,can some one help me please,has any one got any ideas on how to fix?i have the v40 petrol
