I bought a 2008 D5 C70 at the start of the year.
I haven't worked out what the spec actually is but it has most of the bells and whistles. I love it and at £3500, I probably overpaid but what the hell? You only live once. Full service with cam belt change cost nearly £600. I paid £275 to have the engine remap and I'm still more then happy. It's a lovely car and I hope it will keep me interested in "motoring" for a few more years. |

Don’t let my negatively put you off the C70 as a car. While mine was a bit of a money pit, I really enjoyed driving it.
Re electric seats, I wouldn’t worry if both fronts weren’t electric - it was actually quicker and just as easy to access the rear seat from the manual passenger seat.

Thanks for all the advice. Quite keen to get one as they look lovely and I don't need to thrash it round. Hardest thing is finding a decent one to test drive as they all seem to be quite a distance or very rough.
There's one at Inchcape of all places which looked nice but no service history for the past 8 years! Any ideas on what MPG is like for the D5 and petrols, real-world? |

Petrol MPG will be low to mid 20s.
D5 would be high 30s to low 40s I believe. |

150k on mine when I bought it five months ago with FSH and excellent condition. Solid as a rock.
Edit: For some reason the original advert is still there! https://www.logic1vehiclesolutions.c...02102229345722

Got differing answers from dealers on when the cambelt is due. Someone said around £600 for it and every 5 years, is this correct?
Also I see a lot of Parrot kits on cars both pre-facelift and post. Will it support Bluetooth as standard at any point? Last edited by TimS996; Jul 28th, 2021 at 11:57. |

It's certainly not every 5 years! From memory it's every 100,000 miles or 10 years, which ever comes first.
