Default C70 alarm

Does anyone know of a reason the car alarm goes off if I open the boot from the fob without unlocking the car first.
If unlock the car and pop the boot all is fine, if I just pop the boot after 10-15 seconds the alarm sounds.
It just seems a little irritating and I would like to know if this is a design floor or a fault.
Surely popping the boot from the fob the car knows that entry isn’t being forced

If the alarm is set, unlocking the boot will trigger it.

Weird, it’s the only car I’ve ever owned that sets the alarm off opening the boot without unlocking first.
I’m sure the c70 I had 10 years ago didn’t do it.
The Saab I also own doesn’t do it

Seems unnecessary and unfortunate

I don't find it an issue. If I am going to unlock the boot I have the remote in my hand so I press once to deactivate the alarm and then the boot button twice to open that. An extra press of a remote button does seem like first world problems.

My C70 soft top remote opens the boot without setting off the alarm but it does always take 2 clicks. Maybe the first click disarms and second unlocks.
