Wiring diagram?

I was going to fit a cd player in my car at the weekend, but when I have had a look, its a right mess of the wiring, someone has chopped and joined with scotch blocks, twisted wires together etc etc its like a ball of spaghetti
I can probably find live, earth etc but can anyone give me any idea of the colours for the speakers, I dont know how many are fitted as standard, it also looks like someone has joined two lots of speakers together to go into one channel etc, has anyone got a wiring diagram for this?
Or just tell me the colours of wires for various speakers etc, any help would be great,
