Default Cannot find cigarette lighter fuse

Model. 2001 V70 2.4

Hi. I'm having some problems locating the fuse for the front cigarette lighter socket. I think my kids DVD player has blown the fuse and now I can't can't charge my phone etc.

Checking the manual I have it states the fuse box for this is at the end of the dash on the passenger side. So I open from passenger door, open the little compartment at the end of the dash and I cannot see anything in there. Just the side of the glove box. I go on holiday in a week and need to get it sorted does anybody know where else I could look?

Thanks

It's in the drivers footwell

You need to remove the panel and the fuse board is tucked up in the top right hand side (awkward to say the least)

It's a 15amp blue fuse

Please bear in mind this for LHD!

On a 2001, it's at the driver's end of the dashboard.

In 2004/5 it changed to the footwell as dmsims says.

In my 2004 V70 there is a fuse panel at the driver side of the dashboard. If that one is full with approx 38 fuses, I think that means there is no fuse panel under the steering column. In the dashboard panel in my 2004 fuse 13 (IIRC) is labelled in the diagram front/rear 12V receptacles.

Default 12v outlet fuse

Hi

I also need to change my 12v outlet fuse on my v70 2004 (54) facelift D5.
I have found the fuse boxes in the boot and on the end of the dash board but it's not there.
I have looked under the steeering column and there is a panel there (two torx screws each side of a light) but this panel seems to be attached to the ECU outlet!
I have looked under it (by flexing it) but can't see ay fuses.
Can anybody confirm that this is the right panel?

Thanks for any assistance.

If a face-life 2004 has the same fuse panels as a 2005, then look here:http://new.volvocars.com/ownersdocs/.../05v70_08a.htm.

Default 12V socket

Hello,

Any suggestions on this problem gratefully appreciated..........

My front 12V socket doesn't work, the rear passenger one and the one in the boot both do.

I presume they all work off the same fuse - so therefore it is the socket itself in the front that is defective?

Thanks

According the the fuse diagram previously posted, the front and rear share a fuse and the cargo area socket has a separate fuse. The fact you front doesn't work but the rear does certainly implies the socket itself (or wiring running to it) has an issue, but it wouldn't hurt checking that front fuse quickly just in case it is that that's gone and your car is just wired differently...
