Default Balancing weights

Follow up to my strange wobbling wheel, I had a look underneath and everything seems to be fine, on the way i notice that my front kerbside had no balancing weights at all, and the two rears had one on one side, two on the other. Would this make the wheels unbalanced? do the weights need to be there? what would be my next step?

Default balancing

Yes it could make the wheels wobble your next step is pop it into the local tyre place will only cost around £5 per wheel to do

Wheel balancing is a bit of a black art. Ther's no way you can tell anything just by looking. It's a trip to a tyre fitter for you and your car I'm afraid!

Cheers

As stated above, just because there are no weights fitted do not automatically assume they are out of balance, I was a tyre fitter for years and although quite rare, some tyres once fitted are in balance already, seemed to be on the more expensive tyres and newish cars with nice clean wheels, but it wouldnt cost much to get them checked, wheels will go out of balance as they wear over time as well, a lot of people get their cars tracking and balancing checked every year as a matter of course, over time it will save you money in the long run
