Odd new turbo noise

Jaso Guest Location:	When my turbo hose split last year Kings Volvo in Southampton actually drove a new hose down to me so it could be fitted in my driveway. All that was done free of charge under warranty. Anyway my V40 is now out of warranty so my local mechanic took a look at the EGR valve yesterday and said it was very coked up. (after 42K miles) It's now been cleaned and reassembled (cost around £40) and i'll be taking the car on a longish run next week to see if the noise has disappeared. Checking the EGR valve should be built into the service schedule IMO. Bobda - any developements with your Turbo and EGR?
